Nigeria’s yearly budget not enough to drive industrialisation — NASENI | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News


The Executive Vice Chairman of National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Prof. Mohammed Haruna, has said the country’s yearly budget was not enough to achieve full-scale industrial development. Haruna spoke at a three-day retreat organised for Technical Board Members and Managing Directors of NASENI Development Institute in Abuja. Nigeria’s 2022 budget is valued at N17.126t, with about N5.4t allocated to capital expenditure. But, Haruna said Nigeria would need more than N17.126t budget for a full-scale industrialisation to occur. He said: “Our target is not to make mass production for the nation.
